The Livestock Judging contest will be held Friday October 18, 2024 at the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo in Bryan, Texas. This contest is open to all Texas junior exhibitors teaching proper selection, evaluation and placing of various livestock species such as beef cattle, sheep, and swine.. The contest will be divided into two divisions, junior and senior. There will not be separate 4-H and FFA divisions, everyone will judge together. Eight classes for both divisions will be judged. Both divisions will be required to answer questions on three predetermined classes. Contestants will be allowed ten minutes on each class to make their observations, record their placings and take notes for questions when applicable.
