Carl Kolbe - GM Brazos County Expo and BVFR

Carl Kolbe has worked at the Brazos County Expo since May of 2007. Starting out as Operations Manager, when the first event was held at the Expo in October of the same year, he was in charge of all equine related events. He moved to Assistant General Manager in 2012 and now as General Manager, is responsible for all activities at the Expo and The Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo.

Growing up in Harris County, near Katy Texas, he gained extensive knowledge being involved in 4-H and FFA raising and showing beef cattle and training horses for all events. Also a Lifetime Member of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with 40 years on the Youth Quarter Horse Show and Youth Horse Judging Contest committees. Carl, his wife Jeanne and two children, Chad and Carli, operated a successful horse boarding and training business in College Station from 1997 – 2016.

As a graduate of Texas A&M with a B.S. in Agriculture Education and a member of the Texas A&M Rodeo Team, Carl has competed in collegiate rodeos, PRCA sanctioned events and is still active in amateur competition.

Fiona Tizard Meyer - Senior Manager

Fiona has worked for the Brazos Valley Fair since it first opened in 2012. She began by overseeing the marketing and promotion of the first Fair and quickly moved up to become Assistant Manager and now Senior Manager of the Fair. Fiona is responsible for overseeing everything at the Fair, but her biggest jobs are finances, security, marketing, attractions, exhibits and commercial vendors. She also oversees all rodeos, livestock shows and concerts for the Fair.
Fiona has international roots but has resided in Texas since 1982 when her father came to work at the Texas A&M University Veterinary School. She has had a love of agriculture since a young age showing horses in many disciplines including Hunter/Jumper, thoroughbred racing, barrel racing and cutting while growing up. She also has an extensive background in beef cattle that was developed during her years of raising and showing registered Hereford Cattle for one of the nation's largest Hereford seed stock operations. She has over 18 years of marketing experience and an extensive background in livestock management and operations. Prior to working at the Brazos Valley Fair, Fiona owned her own marketing company. Fiona has visited every major livestock show across the US and Canada and has extensive knowledge of fairs from a breeder and exhibitors standpoint. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Science and Animal Science. Fiona and her husband Rodney have two children, Devon and Trevor.

Emily Albert - Assistant Manager

A native Texan, Emily Albert is excited to serve as the new Assistant Manager for the Brazos Valley Fair. A recent graduate from Oklahoma State University, Emily received her Bachelor’s degree in both Animal Science and Agricultural Communications in May. Throughout her college career Emily had the opportunity to intern for both Texas FFA and the American Shorthorn Association working to develop youth programs for each organization. She brings with her a solid working knowledge of livestock departments from Fairs in both Oklahoma and Montana. She was also an active member of Block & Bridle, Swine Club, and Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. Emily attributes her passion for agriculture to being an active member in both 4-H and FFA in her hometown of Weatherford, Texas. Here she participated in junior livestock shows and grew a passion for the livestock industry and youth development. Emily is honored to be able to help grow the Brazos Valley Fair and is excited to start her work as Assistant Manager.

Tammi Warford - Sponsorship Coordinator

A native Texan, Tammi has an extensive background in Marketing and Sales. Her history includes time with Rice University Athletics in Houston and locally she worked with iHeartMedia as their Sales Manager for 8 years. Tammi has great knowledge of the Brazos Valley and strong ties to the community. She has joined the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo Team as the Sponsorship Coordinator. She will be the immediate contact for all sponsors and will work directly with them to give them the best for their sponsorship investments.
