The Brazos Valley Fair has been awarded a number of competitive awards for outstanding marketing from both the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE), and the Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAF&E). Both Associations recently held their annual conventions where the awards were received.

The Brazos Valley Fair won a total of 14 awards in a variety of different categories during the two conventions. First place honors included Best Commemorative Poster, Best Magazine Ad, Best Specialty Video and Best Sponsorship Program.

The Association’s Communication Awards are awarded based on fair attendance, the Brazos Valley Fair falls into the division of Fairs with less than 100,000 in attendance for the IAFE, and less than 50,000 in attendance for the TAF&E. There are over 20 possible categories that Fairs may submit entries in for both associations. The entries are evaluated and judged by a team of industry leaders. These individuals are selected from the members of each Association, which have a combined total of over 1,250 members from Texas and around the globe.

The seventh annual Brazos Valley Fair was held in October of 2018 and had over 15,000 in attendance. The awards are a proud achievement of the BVFR Staff as 95% of all marketing is designed, planned and executed in-house. The eighth annual Brazos Valley Fair is scheduled for October 12-13 and 18-20, 2019 at the Brazos County Expo Complex and will include Rodeos, Concerts, Carnival, Livestock Shows, Educational Exhibits and the newly added first weekend which will feature specialty contests and a feature Tractor Pull Competition on Sunday the 13th. The Fair is a non-profit 501c3 corporation dedicated to “Showcasing Agriculture, Education, and Youth to enhance our Texas Culture.” The Fair gives back to the community through scholarships for youth.
